Fountain Bridge Medical Food Aid Program
In our commitment to improving maternal and child health, providing essential materials for new mothers is critical. This support not only ensures the well-being of infants but also empowers mothers during the crucial early stages of motherhood.
- Improved Maternal Confidence: Access to essential supplies can help reduce anxiety for new mothers, allowing them to focus on bonding with their child.
- Enhanced Infant Health: Proper care materials directly contribute to better health outcomes for newborns.
- Community Support: By providing these materials, we foster a sense of community and shared responsibility for supporting mothers and their children.
Supporting new mothers with essential materials is a vital aspect of promoting maternal and infant health. By ensuring that mothers have access to the necessary supplies, we can help create a nurturing environment for both mothers and their children. Together, we can make a significant impact on the health and well-being of families in our community.

Celebrating The World Menstrual Hygiene
Menstruation is not a choice;
it’s a natural part of life that we experience every month. It’s essential to show love and kindness, especially to those who need it most.
Every year on May 28th, we celebrate World Menstrual Hygiene Day. This year, Fountain Bridge, along with our partners, Operation CARE and Joyous Communities Outreach Foundation, took action to bring joy to those in need. On May 15, 2025, we visited CEAC school in Bwtingi, Cameroon, where we distributed menstrual pads to students who required them.
Together, we can make a difference!
Health Education On Malaria
We conducted an informative session on malaria, emphasizing the importance of seeking medical attention at the nearest hospital upon experiencing any signs or symptoms. This ensures proper diagnosis and treatment.
The children at Global Change Inclusive Technical College in Buea, Cameroon, were exceptionally welcoming and demonstrated great intelligence throughout the talk.
Malaria Screening in Ombe Community
In an effort to improve public health and combat the prevalence of malaria, I recently conducted a malaria screening initiative in the Ombe community. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the disease, provide access to screening, and educate residents on prevention methods to enure that they are in good health before school resumption 2025/2026
Objectives
The primary objectives of the malaria screening program were to:
- Increase Awareness: Educate the community about malaria, its symptoms, and the importance of early detection.
- Provide Screening: Offer free malaria screening to residents to identify and treat cases early.
- Promote Prevention: Share information on preventive measures such as the use of insecticide-treated bed nets and environmental management.
Implementation
The screening event took place over two days at the local community center, where we set up a dedicated area for testing and consultations. Collaborating with local health workers, we ensured that the process was efficient and respectful of the community’s needs.
Activities Included:
- Health Talks: Informative sessions were held to discuss malaria symptoms, transmission, and prevention strategies.
- Screening Tests: Blood tests were conducted on-site to check for malaria parasites, with immediate results provided.
- Follow-up Care: Individuals who tested positive were referred to local clinics for treatment and support.
Impact
The screening initiative had a significant impact on the community:
- Over 200 residents were screened, with a notable number receiving treatment for malaria.
- Community members expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn about and address this critical health issue.
- Increased awareness led to discussions about maintaining a cleaner environment and using mosquito nets.
